Disney Reveals New Animatronic For Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Earlier today, we got the first look at the new Princess Tiana animatronic that will be appearing inside the new “Princess Tiana’s Bayou Adventure” at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland, scheduled to open later this year.

The new animatronic mimics the style of newer animatronics – with physical faces rather than screens – that can be found in the international Disney parks – notably Frozen Ever After at Hong Kong Disneyland and Enchanted Tales of Beauty and the Beast at Tokyo Disneyland, and marks the first time they will be found in a domestic Disney park.

Take a look at the animatronic in action in the video below!

According to Wikipedia, the synopsis of the new attraction is set a year after the events of The Princess and the Frog. To help her community, Tiana has created an employee-owned food cooperative called Tiana’s Foods, built on a salt dome that she has purchased. On the day that guests visit, it is Carnival season and Tiana is hosting a celebration for the people of New Orleans. She realizes that her celebration is missing a key ingredient and needs the guests’ help to find it, as they join her, Prince Naveen and Louis on a trip to the bayou.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is schedule to open at Walt Disney World during Summer of 2024, and Disneyland later in the year. Are you excited that the new animatronics are finally headed to a United States Disney Park? Let us know in the comments below!
